This veterans football tournament near Lyon consists of 16 teams from around the world with teams from Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Italy, Canada and from within France.

The tournament: This tournament will be the 29th edition hosted by Colombier-Saugnieu (25km from Lyon). It consists of 16 teams from around the world with teams travelling from Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Italy, Canada and from within France. The games are played on an excellent grass pitch and a 4G pitch. There is a gala dinner which follows the tournament.

Lyon is the capital city of the Auvergne-Rhone-Alps region of France. The history of the city can be traced back over 2000 years to Roman times, with the impressive Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls being one of the more prominent landmarks. The historic centre 'Le Vieux Lyon' is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As well as its' history Lyon is also a foodies dream destination with Michelin star restaurants offering fine-dining, and good quality restaurants and traditional bistrot's sitting alongside them. Sandwiched between two quality wine regions an ample supply of fine wine is always readily available. There are various ways of getting around Lyon including a boat trip and buses, but the best way to admire the history and ancient architecture is on foot, as many of the older streets are very narrow.
The tournament location of Colombier-Saugnieu is a quiet town with a good selection of restaurants, ranging from French, to Japanese and Italian.
