FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s)

At Team Tours Ltd we recognise that organising a football tour can seem like quite a task and along the way you and your party members may have questions that require an answer. The FAQ's below will answer some of the most common questions about organising a team tour however should you have any other questions please do get in touch.

  • WILL THE MONEY THAT WE PAY TO YOU BE PROTECTED?
Yes, we are a member of Protected Trust Services. All payments are made into an independent trust account which is managed by the trustees. All money is protected so we are not able to access it until after the tour has been completed and all suppliers have been paid. More info about how your money is protected can be found here: Protected Trust Services

  • TO WHAT DESTINATIONS DO YOUR TEAMS TRAVEL?
As well as within the UK, in recent years teams have travelled to France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Andorra, and Germany. We have many other destinations that are further afield such as Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Italy plus more if required. The destinations that are further afield generally require flights which can increase the cost of a tour significantly.

  • CAN TEAM TOURS LTD ARRANGE FRIENDLY MATCHES?
Yes, we now work with lots of groups that don't want the pressure of being involved in a tournament and prefer to have a more sociable trip. For these teams, we will organise as many or as few games as they require and build their itinerary around them.

  • DO YOU HAVE OTHER TOURNAMENTS AVAILABLE THAT ARE NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE?
Yes, we have lots of other tournaments available for all sports, ages, genders, and abilities. We have access to smaller provincial tournaments if the large commercial tournaments are not your preferred option.

  • WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM/MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE THAT CAN TRAVEL ON A TOUR?
There are no limits however be aware of the requirements of the tournament that you will be entering as there may be a minimum squad size. For larger groups of 60+ it can mean that the choice of accommodation options may become smaller due to the availability and acceptance of groups rules by the supplier.

  • THE UK HAS LEFT THE EU SO IS MY EHIC HEALTH CARD STILL VALID?
Please give consideration to your travel insurance as your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) may no longer be valid. The EHIC card currently enables you to claim state-provided treatment following an accident or should you fall ill. It is being phased out and will be replaced by the UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). Your EHIC can be used until its expiry date only. More information regarding a GHIC and how to apply for the card is available on the government website, which can be found HERE.

  • A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM HAS SPECIFIC DIETARY REQUIREMENTS, CAN THIS BE CATERED FOR?
Yes, this question will be asked of your group at a very early stage of the planning, particularly if staying at an accommodation where meals will be provided.

  • CAN WE REPLACE A TRAVELLING TEAM MEMBER IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO TRAVEL?
This is quite straightforward if travelling by coach and as long as we have enough time to notify the relevant parties such as suppliers. If this is a last-minute decision, room configurations will have been decided so it might be difficult to change rooms and their occupants around. If an extra room is required it would need to be paid for. If changing flight details there are very often administration fees to be considered which can vary by airline.
